It is no secret that we like the lovely Mr. Wonderful accessories a lot and it’s always very hard for us to avoid compulsive buying in front of the exhibitors we find in bookstores. Especially now that a new series of limited edition items have come out, mixing together two of our favourite things: cats and Japan! In fact, Mr. Wonderful’s Lucky Collection has as its protagonist a manekineko, the famous Japanese lucky cat.
The highlight of the collection (and undoubtedly our favourite) is the lovely all-pink mug in the shape of a maneki neko, complete with a cute tail. There are also a key ring and a coin purse, to keep always in your purse because useful and cute, but also as a lucky charm. For stationery lovers (here we are!), Mr. Wonderful has also thought of a series of sticky notes and a set of pens in three different colours. Fun fact: manekineko has a different meaning depending on the paw raised up. If it is the left one, it is a lucky charm for business and money, vice versa it should be lucky for family and health. Even the colour of the cat has a meaning: red is against evil spirits, gold is linked to wealth, while pink is a love amulet. Did you know?
