Kawaii games: Sanrio outfits arrive on Nikki
It’s been eight months since we talked about our favourite game of the moment: Love Nikki. In all this time, our passion has not faded at all. Indeed, we are even more excited than before, especially after discovering that in the eastern version of the game (Miracle Nikki, much advanced than the international) some lovely outfits inspired by Sanrio characters have just arrived. We could not avoid showing you the amazing illustrations of the game!
5 Sanrio characters borderline crazy
While in Japan the annual Sanrio Character Ranking, the survey to decide the ranking of the favourite characters, is ending, we are looking at the brand’s archive for a peculiar category of characters we love: the differently kawaii. They are those characters not cute (at least for us), but very much ridiculous, surreal and with no sense at all. Here are our choices, in chronological order!
The new Sanrio Tamagotchi is out in Japan
A bit more that 10 years ago, we were crazy for Tamagotchi, the famous virtual pet that was a true mania for many kids and children from the Nineties. During time, the electronic egg created by Bandai changed a lot. Today, Tamagotchi lets you do much more that feeding or cleaning your virtual animal and, with the new Tamagotchi m!x we can also play with Sanrio characters!
Kawaii food: character cafes in Japan
We have already talked about Kiki & Lala Cafe, the pop-up diner open until last July serving delicious dishes dedicated to Little Twin Stars. The Sanrio twins, however, were neither the first nor the last protagonists of such initiatives. Indeed, character cafes are multiplying in Tokyo!
