At our venerable age, we have seen and read a lot of anime and manga. Among those that have remained more in the heart there is Fullmetal Alchemist: the story by Hiromu Arakawa has the merit, at least for myself, to have made us change our mind about shounen (manga for boys), which at the time we were snubbing a little. Fifteen years from the airing of the anime (followed in 2008 by a more faithful remake), Sanrio made a series of accessories with all the characters in a super-kawaii version. Aren’t they cute?
For the few who do not know what we are talking about, here is the summary. Fullmetal Alchemist tells the story of Edward and Alphonse Elric, two alchemist brothers searching for the legendary Philosopher’s Stone, the only object that can give them back what they have lost. To bring back their mother from the death with alchemy, in fact, they paid a huge price: Ed is without an arm and a leg, while Al’s body completely vanished and his brother sealed his soul into an armour.
Thanks to Sanrio, even the evil antagonists of our heroes becomes adorable! The collection includes pencil cases, bags, keychains and many other accessories, available at Kiddyland, Tokyu Hands and other toys and merchandise stores. Some special accessories are also up for grabs in Plaza Capcom and Game Land arcades, starting from December 9th. Now we really want to watch the anime again!
