New in Japan, the Japan Lolita Association

Last February, Japan Lolita Association, the first official group dedicated to Lolitas of the East and beyond, opened its doors in Japan. Based at the Omura Beauty College in Fukuoka, the organization aims to spread the Lolita culture inside and outside the motherland through news, events and tea party, interaction with schools and educational institutes and, finally, nominating Lolita ambassadors worldwide. Face and president of the association (which also includes among its sponsors Baby, The Stars Shine Bright), the ubiquitous Kawaii Ambassador and model Misako Aoki (now also singer).

Events: Fashion Walk and talk on Japanese street styles in Udine

And after the Teacup, here we are to tell you about another event related to Japanese fashion in Italy! As we mentioned recently, in late April there was in Udine a day entirely dedicated to Eastern street styles. To tell us about the event, our friend Deborah/Ray, who sent us her chronicle of the Fashion Walk and the conference that followed. Of course, we thank her for taking her time to write the post you are about to read. Additional thanks to Christian Pellegrin, which allowed us to use his photographs (you can see much more on his Flickr page).

Events: Teacup – Italian Lolita Teaparty

On April 6th, Milan hosted Teacup – Italian Lolita Teaparty, the first ochakai entirely organized by the italian Gothic Lolita Zone community! In short, an event organized by and for the Italian lolitas, totally independent. One of the organizers is our Debby, who has made a brief report of the party. The photos you see in this post were provided by Sybelle Photography and the users of Gothic Lolita Zone (you can see more pictures on the Facebook page).

Lolita tea party at NiMI Festival

First post of 2012! We must start the new year by telling you about the Tea Party in which we participated during the NiMI Festival, which was held in Florence from December 16th to 18th last year. Among the guests of the event, as we had already announced, there was Misako Aoki, model and gothic lolita kawaii ambassador for the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was Misako the star of the small but lovely event organized by Nimi, in collaboration with Gothic Lolita Zone, for Saturday 17th within the rooms of Fortezza da Basso.
