We are not the biggets gamers (except for puzzles), but if there’s a game we loved and played for many months it’s Animal Crossing. Now in the New Leaf village, some special guests are arriving: Hello Kitty and her friends!
There’s a little Japanese game that, during the last few months, have won over the whole world. It’s very easy to play and features the absolute stars of the internet: cats. Its name is Neko Atsume and if you love Japan and cats you probably have already downloaded on your smartphone.
In the first part of our review of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, we told you about the game and our impressions of it. However, one of the good things about the new Nintendo 3DS is that for some games (included Happy Home Designer) the fun doesn’t end with the game card. In fact, there are also amiibo cards and some other nice functions that make the game even more fun.
At the time of our trip di Japan, in our shopping list there weren’t just Lolita dresses or Rilakkuma plushes: there was also Nintendo DS. And when we went back home with our shiny second or third hand consoles, one of the first games we played (and one of the reasons we wanted the console) was Animal Crossing. It was love – and obsession – at first sight!
Have you ever wondered how Disney characters would be like if they were born in Japan? Probably they would look like the protagonists of Disney Tsum Tsum, the new video game for smartphones and tablets by LINE (yes, the messaging application), which has been a huge success in Japan.
A new social game by Sanrio, called Show By Rock!!, is about to arrive on smarphones. The Game will take us to Midi City, a town where music leads the way and success in show business corresponds to power. The player must bring his own band at the top of the charts, fighting with the other bands of Midi City.
Last July, at the Japan Expo (the now classic and famous French exhibition dedicated to our beloved Japan), it was presented Hello Kitty Kawaii Town, a new social game that will open next October.
Lately, Sanrio likes to mix the things a little, bringing together its most famous characters, Hello Kitty in the first place, with characters from anime and video games.
Since I decided to retire my old iPod Nano in favor of a much more modern iPod Touch, I entered the magical world of apps! Needless to say, my favorites are those with kawaii graphics. So, I’d like to start a little section about my favorite smartphones applications, for the moment only for iPhone and iPod, as I don’t have Android yet (but it will come soon).
