Last February, Japan Lolita Association, the first official group dedicated to Lolitas of the East and beyond, opened its doors in Japan. Based at the Omura Beauty College in Fukuoka, the organization aims to spread the Lolita culture inside and outside the motherland through news, events and tea party, interaction with schools and educational institutes and, finally, nominating Lolita ambassadors worldwide. Face and president of the association (which also includes among its sponsors Baby, The Stars Shine Bright), the ubiquitous Kawaii Ambassador and model Misako Aoki (now also singer).
Through the website of the Lolita Association, you can subscribe to the organization and report any events on a local and international level. We hope to see soon an English version of the site: although on the homepage there’s written that “there are language barriers in the world, but there are no barriers in Lolita”, it would be nice to break down any walls and make it more accessible to those who do not knows Japanese language 😀
What do you think? Could Japan Lolita Association become a worldwide reference point for all who are passionate about Lolita fashion?
