On 14-15-16 October, Weathering with You, the latest film by Makoto Shinkai, author and director of the acclaimed Your Name, arrives in Italian movie theatres. Here is the plot and trailer of the exciting new work by a master of Japanese animation.
The plot
Hodaka Morishima is a high school student who lives alone in Tokyo after running away from home. In the capital, he begins to work for a magazine dedicated to the occult and ends up investigating the causes of the strange rain that has been falling on the city. He thus meets Hina Amano, a girl of his age who lives with her younger brother and who possesses a strange power: she can stop the rain and bring back the sun.

Weathering with You was the highest grossing movie of the year in Japanese cinemas, so much so that it was chosen to represent Japan as the best foreign film at the upcoming Academy Awards.
