Kawaii birthdays: Mamegoma and Rilakkuma sweet celebrations

What is the best way to celebrate a birthday? Obviously, with cake and sweets! In 2010, San-x is crossing a double goal: the 7th and 5th anniversary of Rilakkuma an Mamegoma.

The beloved Japanese teddy bear is now an international star. Just this year, the Rilakkuma Paris series debuted and it was an opportunity to promote some Parisian atmosphere even in the land of the Rising Sun. June 3rd, in Roppongi, it will be held on the 7th Apéritif à la française , organized by the French Embassy, to promote food and drink from beyond the Alps. It was there also Rilakkuma Monsieur, who made a fine show at the press conference presenting the event.

To celebrate the anniversary, however, an ad-hoc collection is necessary! If Hello Kitty chosed 5 colors, Rilakkuma opted for the entire rainbow! The Rainbow series debuts accompanying a delicious event that will put up soft toys and limited edition candies as a prize. The sets, inspired by the characters of Rila’s world, were made by chefs specialized in French pastry.

Way back in 2005, Mamegoma made its appearance and quickly became a great success (so that the owners of this blog have elected them to deities). The seal as big as a bean wants to celebrate in a sweet way and it does it by providing a real handmade birthday cake (with cream or chocolate)… with also candles and personalized plate! The idea is to celebrate our own birthday with Mamegoma as well. The spotted cake is making me me crazy! Now I’m hungry, and you?
