We end the roundup of the unmissable events at Lucca Comics & Games 2011 with the ones organized by Gothic Lolita Zone, events that, as usual, we are going to follow very closely (and that we’ll report on the blog and live on Twitter)!
This year, the largest Italian community dedicated to Lolita fashion has organized three events, planned for Sunday, October 30th. In addition, the girls of GLZ will be inside the Japan Palace during the entire fair (from Friday, October 28th to Monday, November 1st) with an information desk where you can buy Lolita clothing and accessories (brand/off-brand/handmade) and the merchandise of the community (and do not forget that for every purchase you will receive a ticket to enter our giveaway!). But first things first…
How was Lolita style born? How did it evolve? How did it reach Italy? These are some of the questions that will be answered during the conference to be held at the Sala Incontri of Japan Palace on Sunday, October 30th at 11:00. The girls of GLZ will explain in detail everything you need to know about Lolita style, with personal remarks of those who live this trend firsthand.
Last year, during the conference, we found out what is Lolita and what is not. This year we will have the opportunity to see a real “makeover” and to better understand, layer upon layer of fabric, how to dress Lolita. Through a competition, open to anyone who wanted to wear Lolita without being able to do so, a lucky girl was selected to be the star of the dressing laboratory and to recieve a complete Gothic Lolita outfit! The event is scheduled for October 30th at 14:00, at the Sala Incontri of Japan Palace!
Also at Sala Incontri, at 16:00, there will be the traditional Lolita fashion show, which will offer to the viewers the chance to see live examples of beautiful Lolita style outfits, emphasizing the different styles and customizations that are part of this streetstyle.
In summary… Sunday October 30th, at Sala Incontri of Japan Palace (first floor), you can attend the conference (at 11:00), the dress-up laboratory (at 14:00) and the fashion show (at 16:99). During the entire fair, you’ll find Gothic Lolita Zone desk on the ground floor of Japan Palace (stand G005, see the map for better orientation). Do not miss it!
