Events: we have been at Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Milan

Today we bring you to the most famous school of magic in the world! Sunday, May 13, in fact, we were on the second day of the opening of the Harry Potter: The Exhibition, the exhibit dedicated to the most beloved magician of all time. A one-hour dip into the magical world of Harry Potter… plus all the time you want for a magical shopping! Ready to come with us?

Harry Potter Exhibition

Harry Potter: The Exhibition is in Milan, at Fabbrica del Vapore, a few steps from Via Paolo Sarpi, the Milanese Chinatown. Tickets are available online at the Ticket-one circuit. These are tickets with a fixed date and time, with admission groups every half hour. When you arrive at the exhibition, you will have to wait for the opening of the reference queue at the time you have booked.

As soon as you enter, you will have the opportunity to take a picture like real wizards! You will choose a wand and pose with your friends in front of a green screen. The photo will be waiting for you at the end of the visit, ready to be purchased, if you want. Then comes the time to gather in a room to meet the Sorting Hat! Three lucky aspiring wizards will be able to sit on the stool and wear the talking hat that will assign them to one of the four Hogwarts Houses. Guess who was chosen by being noticed among so many children from the back of the room? Our Debba has obviously been assigned to Hufflepuff!

And now we can finally explore Hogwarts! You start by passing in front of the picture of the Fat Lady, who enjoys breaking a crystal glass with an acute, and then you enter the common room of Gryffindor, in front of Harry and Ron’s beds, the uniforms of the prefects with their badge, books of magic and the Marauders map in Harry’s trunk. There is so much to see and admire in every detail, so do not rush!

We move from scene to scene, from year to year. You can admire the beautiful costumes of all the characters, the props… and it is also possible to extract a Mandrake from the vase (but you should cover your ears)! Sports enthusiasts can also attempt to throw the quaffle in the Quidditch circles. There’s also an amazing reconstruction of Hagrid’s hut, on whose chair you can take a picture.

A ride through the Forbidden Forest and we go to the section dedicated to dark arts: the showcase that collects all the Horcruxes is beautiful! Before entering the Great Hall, a recommendation: do not forget to read the Educational Decrees posted by Filch on the orders of Professor Umbridge. It’s very exciting to see the Tri-Wizard Cup and the Deathly Hallows… and you almost have tears in your eye in front of the robe of Albus Dumbledore.

But we immediately recover from nostalgia because the moment of shopping arrives! You can buy the sweet delicacies of Honeydukes, or lose yourself in the wide selection of themed gadgets available. We have chosen the Marauders Map, the pin with the emblem of Hogwarts and of Hufflepuff and the official guide to the exhibition, to be kept as a memory of this wonderful experience.
