At the end of April, Udine will host the annual edition of Far East Film Festival, an event dedicated to Eastern movies. During the festival, there will be a series of events dedicated to Japanese fashion, including conferences, workshops and a fashion walk… but first things first!
What is a Fashion Walk? Those who love Japanese street style probably have already heard about it and seen pictures of the Harajuku Fashion Walk, an event that periodically fills the streets of the famous Japanese district with a walk dedicated to the most popular styles of the moment. The first Fashion Walk was organized in 2010 by 6% Dokidoki and has been so successful that we are now at the 15th edition (photos and information about all the FW on Tokyofashion.com). The walks are an opportunity to show and highlight the many facets of alternative fashion, from Lolita to Decora, and of course to make new friends. Lately, Fashion Walks have appeared in Italy as well, with a series of events held in Pescara who also received the attention of the Japanese organizers!

Friday, April 26th, in Udine there will be a whole day dedicated to Japanese street fashion. It starts at 11:30, with a workshop dedicated to hairstyle and makeup in collaboration with the boutique Pazzesque, located in Bologna. They will continue, at 15:00, with the Fashion Walk itself, which will parade along the city center. Then, at 16:00, at the Games Academy in Udine, there will be a conference dedicated to Japanese fashion, with advices and informations for those who want to know more about Fairy Kei, Gyaru, Mori and anything else! The next day, Saturday, April 27th, there will be also a conference about Lolita Style, followed by a makeup and hairstyle workshop, in collaboration with the boutique Pazzesque. The event is again in Udine, this time at the Tina Modotti gallery, starting from 15:30! On the dedicated Facebook page, you can find all the details.
