DDung: from Korea with cuteness!

It is fair to dedicate the first post of the new course to the hero of our new graphics. 😀

Seo Seol is a 4 years old child and, for being so small, she is already a bit cynical and disillusioned… starting by her nickname: DDung (pronounced “Doong”), meaning “sad/depressed”. Ddung has two great passions: the television, thanks to which she realized that life is not perfect, and her father, who she considers the ideal man! Obviously, she has no great sympathy for her mother. Her dream is to become Miss Korea, because the pretty girls always get what they want… so in the meantime she is training herself pretending to be sweet and pretty. In short, this DDung has quite an hot temper! Around her, there are the adventures of her family and her big and small friends (including her boyfriend Bongu and the little pig Dungs)!

Ddung

Born in 2003 from the pen of Korean Sunmi Yoon, president of the design studio Designseol, DDung was soon established in the market of fashion dolls and accessories, thanks to her tender appearance that betrays however a bold and ironic character. What is most striking are the magnificent pictures taken by Designseol to promote the dolls: real small photo shoots that often appear on posters and gadgets! Lately, in addition to notepads and bags, there were also produced DDung shaped mp3 players (a real music doll!) and even birthday cakes! A curiosity: DDung profile for the North American market is diametrically opposed to the “official” one. DeeDee, this is her nickname overseas, wants to become Miss Universe to bring happiness to the world and is always smiling and ready to console others. Do not know about you, but I prefer the cynical, coquettish DDung!
