Kawaii Collection: new characters wanted!

How do you choose a new character to team up with Rilakkuma, Mamegoma and companions on Japanese store shelves? There are marketing experts, of course … but the audience always has the last word! San-X is aware of that, so in the past they have proposed several trial series, to test the taste of customers. In 2003, in one of these initiatives it has been selected the aforementioned Rilakkuma!

For 2010, San-x has decided to propose Kawaii Collection: a series of seven characters all focused on the rabbits theme! What will be the Japanese audience favorite? And what is your favorite?

Nobit is a rabbit who likes to do yoga, and so it is very articulated! His style is reminiscent, in the colors and lines, of the traditional painting.

Happy Rabby’s Diary tells the story of fun and glittery Rabby, a bunny who lives every day in a very optimistic way.
Tappun is a fat rabbit (his name can be translated as “faaaaat”), apparently a little strange, but he hides many unexpected sides and a kind and gentle character.Monoch Rabbits are Shiroshiro (“white-white”) and Kurokuro (“black-black”), two identical rabbits and dreamers, who like to watch shooting stars together.
Chou-fleur is a happy bunny pink and soft, which looks a little curly as a cauliflower (her name means “cabbage”).Yuugata Shokudou, inn Yuugata, is the restaurant run by two rabbit brothers with the U-shaped head (in Japanese, “yuugata”). Their croissants are the main course!
Solalan is a Bunny as soft as a cloud. When in a good mood, he loves to sing the song of the flowers in the sky.

A big thank you to Roberta, who translated for us the descriptions of the characters ♥
